Carpenter

Kilgobbin Castle Holdings Ltd T/A Insulex are seeking a Carpenter for their site located at Kilgobbin, Ballinadee, Bandon, Co. Cork. The role involves carrying out essential structural, internal, and external carpentry work to support the company’s insulation and energy-efficiency projects. The successful candidate will work as part of a high-performance team, delivering premium workmanship across projects.

Job description as follows: Window & Door Installation

• Removal and disposal of existing, inefficient timber or old uPVC windows and doors.
• Precision fitting and sealing of new, high-performance uPVC and composite external doors and windows to meet strict airtightness standards.
• Structural preparation and installation of Velux roof windows, ensuring structural integrity and weatherproofing.

Roofing, Ventilation & External Timber Works

• Modifying and preparing roof structures for the integration of roof vents and specialized insulation materials.
• Removing and replacing worn fascia, soffit, and downpipes to protect structural eaves.
• Constructing timber boxing and framing to house mechanical ventilation pipes and heat recovery systems cleanly.

Internal Works & Retrofit Support

• Erecting timber stud walls and frame systems designed to house internal dry-lining and high-density insulation materials.
• Executing the cutting, fitting, and hanging of internal doors, skirting boards, architraves, and window boards.

Renumeration is between €36,605 and €48,500 per annum depending on experience and based on a standard 39 hours per week.
