Blue Ribbon Millwork is a growing custom cabinetry and millwork company specializing in high-end residential and commercial spaces. We design, build, and install custom kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, and architectural millwork tailored to each project.

We are looking for a motivated Marketing Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for a post-secondary marketing student who wants hands-on experience building a real brand and contributing to meaningful business growth.

*Position Overview*

This is a marketing-focused role for a student who is interested in content creation, social media strategy, brand development, lead generation, and digital marketing.

You will help tell the story behind our projects, showcase the quality of our work, strengthen our online presence, and contribute ideas that help connect Blue Ribbon Millwork with future homeowners, builders, designers, and commercial clients.

We are not simply looking for someone to post content. We are looking for someone who understands that strong marketing should support business goals: building trust, creating awareness with the right audience, generating inquiries, and helping turn interest into real projects.

As a small business, you will have room to contribute ideas and gain exposure to many areas of marketing. Some client communication or administrative support may occasionally be required.

*Responsibilities*

• Assist with planning and creating marketing content for Blue Ribbon Millwork
• Capture photos and videos of completed projects, installations, showroom displays, and behind-the-scenes work
• Edit and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and other relevant platforms
• Support marketing campaigns designed to increase brand awareness, website traffic, inquiries, and qualified leads
• Research local market trends, competitors, target audiences, industry topics, and potential partnership opportunities
• Assist with email marketing, website updates, blog/resource content, and promotional materials
• Help maintain a consistent visual brand and tone across marketing channels
• Monitor online engagement and help identify opportunities to strengthen audience connection

*Ideal Candidate*

• Is currently enrolled in a post-secondary marketing, communications, or design
• Has a genuine interest in marketing and business growth
• Understands the difference between posting for engagement and marketing with a clear purpose
• Is creative, organized, and comfortable bringing forward new ideas
• Has a strong eye for visual content, branding, and storytelling
• Is confident writing clear, professional captions and marketing copy
• Is proactive, dependable, and able to manage deadlines independently
• Is interested in learning about high-end residential design, cabinetry, construction, or interiors
• Is comfortable working in a small business environment where ideas and initiative are valued
• Communicates professionally and represents the company well when interacting with clients, partners, and the public

*Preferred Assets*

• Experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, or TikTok
• Experience with Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, or similar tools
• Basic photo and video editing skills
• Familiarity with social media analytics, content strategy, or digital advertising
• Experience with email marketing platforms, websites, or SEO is an asset
• Previous marketing, communications, photography, design, retail, or customer service experience
• A portfolio of social media, photography, graphic design, video, or marketing work is an asset
