Assistant Principal
Bloom World Academy is seeking creative and expert practitioners for the role of Assistant Principal to join in Academic Year 2026/2027.
The DP/CP Coordinator plays a central role in leading the strategic development, implementation, and quality assurance of the IB Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme. The role ensures high standards across teaching, learning, assessment, and student outcomes in Grades 11 and 12. The Coordinator oversees compliance with IB requirements, drives academic rigour, supports staff professional growth, and ensures students are fully prepared for examination success and post-16 pathways. As an Assistant Vice Principal, the postholder contributes to whole-school leadership, school improvement, and the sustained development of the Senior School.

Key responsibilities:
Lead the strategic oversight and day-to-day management of the IB Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme.
Ensure full compliance with IB standards and practices, including programme documentation, policies, and review cycles.
Oversee curriculum planning, subject selection processes, and timetable alignment for DP and CP students.
Monitor student progress, predicted grades, and examination performance, implementing timely intervention strategies where required.
Coordinate internal and external assessment procedures, ensuring accuracy, standardisation, and adherence to IB deadlines.
Support and quality assure the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, Reflective Project, and Core requirements across both programmes.
Lead staff training and professional development to ensure high-quality teaching and secure understanding of IB assessment criteria.
Work closely with Lead Practitioners to maintain consistency in curriculum delivery, assessment practices, and academic expectations.
Oversee university guidance processes in collaboration with relevant leaders, ensuring students are well prepared for higher education pathways.
Ensure effective communication with parents and students regarding programme expectations, assessment timelines, and academic progress.
Analyse examination data and cohort trends to inform strategic planning and continuous improvement.
Lead preparations for IB verification, evaluation visits, and annual reporting requirements.
Contribute to whole-school leadership through participation in Senior Leadership Team meetings, strategic planning, and school improvement initiatives.
Promote a culture of academic ambition, integrity, and resilience across the Senior School.
Required candidate profile
Proficient or advanced-level English language skills.
Bachelor's degree in Digital Design or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
Experience in IB or GCSE subject specific teaching.
A minimum of three years experience teaching in a reputable school.
A track record of outstanding student results.
Demonstrates professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment and integrity.
Inter-cultural awareness, well-developed communication skills and excited to engage with students and parents.
Position requirements:
Strong knowledge of IB Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme standards and assessment requirements.
Experience in academic leadership within a post-16 or senior school context.
Proven ability to manage complex assessment processes and maintain compliance with external frameworks.
Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
