Mechanical Engineering Specialist

At BlinkTroll, we’re building next-generation training systems and defense technology used by military and police forces across Europe. Our mission is simple but urgent: to support the defenders of the free world with powerful, practical, and life-saving technology.

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to join our team in Odense, someone who can work independently, communicate clearly across disciplines, and take ownership of complex mechanical systems from idea to field deployment.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving real problems, exploring new ideas, and working closely with a small team of hardware, software, and embedded engineers.

What You’ll Do

• Design and prototype mechanical systems and components from concept to field-ready solutions
• Work closely with embedded, software, and electronics engineers to build fully integrated systems
• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical documentation (SolidWorks, Fusion360 or similar)
• 2D technical drawings
• Take full ownership of mechanical design decisions and implementation
• Support assembly, testing, and troubleshooting in-house and during field testing
• Help scale systems from prototype to small-scale production
• Contribute ideas and improvements to system architecture and product design
• Communicate clearly with the team and help translate concepts into practical engineering solutions

Who You Are

• 8+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer or mechanical design engineer
• Comfortable working independently and driving projects forward
• Strong communication skills and able to collaborate across engineering disciplines
• Experienced in 3D CAD and designing for manufacturing
• Hands-on and comfortable working with tools, prototypes, and test setups
• Curious and open-minded, always looking for better solutions and new ideas
• Reliable, structured, and comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment
• Based in or near Odense, or willing to work on-site

What We Offer

• Work on technology with real-world impact
• A hands-on engineering environment in Odense’s robotics and defense ecosystem
• A small, ambitious team where your ideas matter
• Direct influence on product and technical direction
• Strong team culture
• Opportunity to grow with the company

If this sounds like the right next step in your journey, we’d love to hear from you.
