Interior Designer - Revit

A leading regional multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Interior Designer with very strong Revit skills to join its growing Dubai-based design team. The consultancy delivers a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects across the Middle East, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to work across a mixed portfolio of commercial, hospitality, residential, retail and mixed-use developments.

Your tasks

The Interior Designer will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality interior design projects from concept through to detailed design and construction documentation. A key requirement of the role is advanced proficiency in Revit. The successful candidate will be expected to use Revit as a primary design and documentation tool, producing accurate, coordinated and technically robust interior design packages while working closely with architects, engineers and other disciplines. This is a hands-on design and technical role suited to an Interior Designer who combines strong design sensibility with excellent technical and BIM capabilities.

• Develop interior design concepts, layouts and detailed design solutions across a variety of project types.
• Produce high-quality Revit models, drawings and documentation throughout all stages of project delivery.
• Develop detailed interior architecture and fit-out packages, including plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans and detailed drawings.
• Maintain and manage Revit models in accordance with project BIM standards and established workflows.
• Coordinate interior design information with architectural, structural, MEP and specialist disciplines.
• Work closely with senior designers, project architects and project managers to deliver projects to programme and quality requirements.
• Translate design concepts into technically coordinated and buildable solutions.
• Prepare and develop FF&E layouts, finishes, material schedules and interior detailing as required.
• Assist with the preparation of design presentations, specifications and tender/construction documentation.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, consistency and coordination.
• Identify and resolve design and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in design coordination meetings with internal teams, consultants, clients and contractors.
• Support the development of BIM and digital design standards within the interior design team.
• Ensure all design deliverables comply with relevant codes, standards and project requirements.
• Assist with site visits, inspections and design reviews where required.

Requirements

Experience across a mixed portfolio of projects, such as:

• Luxury hospitality
• High-end residential
• Commercial and workplace
• Retail
• Mixed-use developments
• Cultural and leisure projects
• Large-scale masterplanned developments

Previous experience working within the UAE or wider GCC would be highly advantageous.

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5-10+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.
• Proven experience delivering interior design projects from concept through to detailed design and construction documentation.
• Exceptional proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential.
• Strong understanding of Revit modelling, families, documentation, schedules and model coordination.
• Strong knowledge of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent technical knowledge of interior architecture, detailing, materials and construction methods.
• Experience working on complex, large-scale projects within a multidisciplinary consultancy.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and familiarity with other relevant design software.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and presentation software.
• Ability to interpret design intent and translate concepts into detailed, technically robust documentation.
• Strong understanding of UAE/GCC construction practices and standards would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a large team and manage competing deadlines.
