College/CEGEP.

Work setting:

Field location. Radio station or network.

Tasks:

• Monitor broadcast quality of live or taped radio and television programs.
• Operate and monitor radio and television broadcasting systems to broadcast, receive signals and to regulate clarity and range of sounds and colours of recordings or broadcasts.
• Make emergency repairs to equipment.
• Maintain, install and troubleshoot a wide variety of broadcast hardware and software.
• Provide emergency response when required.
• Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements.

Technical operations experience:

Studio equipment and camera.

Area of specialization:

Technical support.

Training specialization (creative and performing arts):

Broadcast engineering. Broadcast radio or television arts.

Security and safety:

Driver's validity licence check.

Transportation/travel information:

Valid driver's licence.
