Software & Industrial Systems Support Engineer – Athens
Become a member of Bizerba Hellas Bizerba Hellas, a member of the international Bizerba Group and a leading provider of weighing, labeling, traceability, and industrial software solutions, is looking for a Software & Industrial Systems Support Engineer to strengthen the Technical Support team in Athens. The role involves the installation, configuration, technical support, and interfacing of Bizerba software for customers in the food industry, logistics, and retail. The ideal candidate will be trained on Bizerba's specialized systems and technologies, gaining significant expertise in industrial information systems, production processes, and Industry 4.0 technologies. Purpose of the Role To ensure the successful installation, operation, and technical support of Bizerba software, contributing to the uninterrupted operation of customers' critical production and business processes. Main Responsibilities Software Installation & Configuration Installation and configuration of Bizerba software applications Management of upgrades and new versions Configuration of systems according to customer requirements Verification of correct operation of applications and interfaces Technical Support Providing technical support to customers via: telephone, remote connection on-site visits
Diagnosis and resolution of technical problems Analysis and management of technical incidents (incident management) Systems Integration Interfacing applications with: ERP systems, databases, industrial equipment, printers, and labeling systems Support for network installations related to the company's products Project Implementation Participation in installation and upgrade projects of software solutions Collaboration with customers, suppliers, and international Bizerba teams Documentation of tasks and creation of user manuals Customer Training Training of users and customer technical teams Support during the production start-up of systems Required Qualifications: Education University, TEI, or IEK degree in the fields of: Informatics Networks Electronics Automation or related subjects Technical Knowledge Very good knowledge of the Windows environment Knowledge of installation and management of software applications Good knowledge of TCP/IP networks Understanding of the Windows Server environment Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Language Skills Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken) Desired Knowledge Knowledge in the following will be particularly appreciated: Microsoft SQL Server SQL Databases Active Directory Virtualization Technologies REST APIs ERP Integrations Industrial Software Systems Barcode & Labeling Technologies Previous experience in a similar software technical support or industrial applications position will be considered a significant advantage Personal Skills We are looking for individuals with: Strong analytical thinking Willingness to solve problems Customer-centric approach Willingness for continuous learning Autonomy and responsibility Team spirit and cooperation Ability to manage multiple tasks What We Offer Modern and stable working environment Continuous technical training and certifications Collaboration with international teams and specialized Bizerba expertise centers Participation in digital transformation and Industry 4.0 projects Competitive compensation package Private insurance Opportunities for professional development in Greece and abroad Required Qualifications: Benefits:
