You will be part of the IT team responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and development of system environments, primarily based on Linux.

This is a role for someone who combines systems administration, log analysis, monitoring, networking basics, and a practical approach to problem-solving. You will work on both internal infrastructure and systems located at client installations. What do we offer?

Daily tasks

• Administration and maintenance of Linux systems.
• Monitoring the operation of infrastructure, services, and systems.
• Log analysis and diagnosing the causes of failures and irregularities.
• Handling more complex tickets as part of the second line of support.
• Supporting the first line in problem diagnostics.
• Verifying the correct operation of systems in our infrastructure and at client installations.
• Installation, configuration, and updating of systems and services.
• Diagnosing problems at the intersection of the operating system, applications, infrastructure, and networks.
• Basic configuration of network infrastructure, routing, firewalls, and VPN connections.
• Supporting the setup and diagnostics of IPsec tunnels between our infrastructure and client environments.
• Participating in the standardization and automation of repetitive administrative tasks.
• Documenting configurations, changes, and problem-solving methods.
• Technical contact with clients and suppliers, also in English.
• Occasional support for Windows and Linux system users.

Requirements

What do we need? Good knowledge of Linux systems administration.

Comfortable working in the terminal and knowledge of basic diagnostic tools.

Skills in log analysis and finding the root cause of a problem.

Practical knowledge of networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLAN, routing.

Basic knowledge regarding firewalls and VPN.

The ability to distinguish whether the source of a problem is the application, operating system, infrastructure, or network.

Autonomy and responsibility for assigned tasks.

Teamwork and knowledge-sharing skills.

Attention to security and good administrative practices.

Communicative English proficiency allowing for technical conversations with a client or supplier. Additional assets will be:

Knowledge of MikroTik, Palo Alto, or UniFi,

Experience with VPN, IPsec, or WireGuard,

Knowledge of Ansible, SaltStack, or similar automation tools,

Knowledge of Docker and virtualization basics,

Knowledge of administering distributed environments,

Experience with infrastructure operating outside a classic office or data center,
