Role summary Provide professional body massage and wellness treatments in a clean, comfortable setting. Assess each client’s needs, adapt the treatment within your training, and deliver attentive service throughout the visit. Key responsibilities Consult clients on their preferences, areas of discomfort and relevant health considerations before treatment. Perform the massage treatments offered by the outlet according to its protocols and the therapist’s training. Adjust pressure and technique based on client feedback, and maintain appropriate draping, privacy and professional boundaries. Explain the treatment, check on the client’s comfort and provide suitable aftercare advice. Prepare and sanitise treatment rooms, beds, equipment and supplies between appointments. Maintain accurate treatment notes and promptly report adverse reactions or client concerns. Recommend suitable follow-up treatments or packages without pressuring clients. Support appointment flow, stock checks and other reasonable outlet duties. Requirements Relevant massage training or certification, with practical experience preferred. Good knowledge of hygiene, client care and safe massage practices. Able to communicate clearly with clients and work a roster that may include weekends and public holidays. Professional, reliable and comfortable performing a physically active role.
