Regulatory Counsel - US Monitorships

Responsibilities: Coordinate with members of the Legal Department and management regarding regulatory litigation matters and relationships with U.S. government agencies and regulatory bodies.

Support the company’s response to regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and compliance reviews, particularly as they relate to and impact AML and sanctions compliance programs.

Provide guidance and counsel in coordination with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to effectively comply with legal obligations of significant sensitivity and impact within the U.S..

Support regulatory filings, investigations, remediation efforts and enforcement matters as needed.

Requirements: 1-5 years’ private practice or in-house legal experience with respect to financial services, contentious regulatory matters and/or litigation, preferably involving U.S. financial regulators such as FinCEN, SEC, CFTC, OFAC, and state regulators.

Keen interest in and knowledge of U.S. AML and sanctions compliance programs, ideally with practical experience supporting or advising on these frameworks.

Keen interest in and understanding of U.S. financial products, including spot trading, margin trading, futures, and options, especially within the crypto industry.

Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex legal issues proactively.

Excellent project management skills, ideally with experience of running or supervising large scale projects or workstreams independently and proactively.

Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills, capable of conveying complex legal concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Experience with internal remediation efforts are a plus.
