Accountant
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Accountant to manage accounting, taxation, audit and statutory compliance matters for a portfolio of companies, mainly in the F&B and food-related industries.
Routine data entry and bookkeeping are handled by a separate team. The Accountant will focus on reviewing, adjusting and finalising accounts, year-end closing, tax, audit and statutory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review bookkeeping entries and make necessary accounting adjustments.
- Handle full set accounts, reconciliations and month/year-end closing.
- Prepare Financial Statements and supporting schedules.
- Prepare ECI, Corporate Income Tax Computations and tax filings.
- Handle IRAS notices, queries and tax-related matters.
- Coordinate with external auditors and attend to audit queries.
- Review audit schedules, Financial Statements and audit adjustments.
- Handle GST matters where applicable.
- Review intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Monitor accounting, tax, audit and statutory filing deadlines.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, corporate secretaries, banks and government authorities.
- Review F&B sales, purchases, expenses and other operational accounting records where required.
- Assist management with accounting, financial and compliance matters.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree/LCCI or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Able to handle full set accounts independently.
- Good knowledge of Singapore accounting, tax and statutory requirements.
- Familiar with IRAS, ECI, Corporate Income Tax and ACRA matters.
- Experiences in statutory audit and preparation of Financial Statements.
- Experiences in handling of multiple companies is an advantage.
- F&B /food industry experience is an advantage.
- Good Excel and accounting software skills (QuickBook).
- Meticulous, organised and able to work independently and meet deadlines.
