Dairy Farm Assistant
•Employer: Alan Glynn, Jenal, Back Moone, Athy, Co. Kildare •Job Title: Dairy Farm Assistant BG Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of Alan Glynn for a dairy farm assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a milking herd, morning & evening milking, herd nutrition, herd health, calving, pasture management, operating machinery, administrative tasks. Responsibilities:
- Carry out morning and evening milking as scheduled.
- Maintain and clean milking equipment.
- Plan feeding schedules and feed all livestock.
- Monitor grass growth, rotate paddocks, and spread fertiliser.
- Monitor herd health, assist with calving, and coordinate with veterinarians.
- Operate machinery as required for feeding, maintenance, pasture management.
