To expand our team, we are currently looking for a:

Design Engineer/Physicist Nuclear Instrumentation (m/f/d) for the location: Erlangen Reference number: 260626-1-ERL

Description:

• Planning and design of nuclear instrumentation systems
• Carrying out analyses and evaluations of the technical specifications for nuclear instrumentation
• Implementation of standardization processes to unify methods and technical specifications across various projects
• Development of solutions for nuclear instrumentation based on international norms and standards
• Creation of design documents (technical specifications) for nuclear instrumentation in English
• Implementation of quality assurance measures and technical reviews
• System Engineering including Requirements Management
• Close cooperation with external suppliers and partners
• Support of the project team in carrying out test field and commissioning activities
• Working in the office (Mobile Office), in the test field, at the plant, and in the controlled area

Requirements:

• Completed studies in Physics, alternatively Engineering sciences
• Basic knowledge in process technology and signal processing
• Initial experience in the planning and execution of R&D and customer projects
• Practical experience in the test field or at power plant facilities, especially regarding functional tests and maintenance
• Knowledge of the mechanical and electrical construction of Excore Neutron Flux Instrumentation and particle detectors is desirable
• Willingness to work in the controlled area (radiation protection suitability)
• Ability to work in an international environment and to communicate with various specialist groups
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving competencies
• High degree of independence and initiative
• English min. B1 level
