Senior Tooling Engineer

Position Summary  The Senior Tooling Engineer – Continuous Improvement is responsible for leading tooling-related continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation. The role provides technical leadership for tooling performance, mould reliability, maintenance excellence, cost reduction, and operational efficiency. The position leads a cross-functional continuous improvement group and works closely with NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, Toolroom, Engineering and Operations teams to deliver measurable business improvements. Key Responsibilities Lead tooling-related continuous improvement projects across the organisation.  Develop and execute annual tooling and reliability improvement plans. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Tooling Engineers and technical teams. Develop tooling standards, best practices and engineering procedures.  Support strategic tooling decisions and technology roadmaps. Improve preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.  Reduce repeat tooling failures and mould-related downtime.  Provide supervision, coaching and mentoring to assigned personnel.  Manage workload prioritisation and resource allocation.  Qualifications & Experience  Degree, Diploma or recognised apprenticeship in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. 

Minimum 10 years of tooling experience within injection moulding or precision manufacturing. 

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is essential. 

Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement programmes. 

Strong knowledge of mould design, tooling maintenance and reliability engineering. 

Experience supporting medical, electronics or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
