Lighting Designer

Beyond Spaces Ventures Inc. is looking for a creative and technically skilled Lighting Designer / Lighting Specialist to join our growing team.

As a one-stop destination for premium furniture, modular cabinetry, lighting, and interior solutions, we are looking for someone who can combine aesthetic lighting design with technical expertise to deliver functional and sophisticated lighting solutions for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop lighting concepts, layouts, and technical lighting plans based on architectural and interior designs.

Recommend appropriate lighting fixtures, wattages, color temperatures (Kelvin), beam angles, and lumen outputs for different applications.

Conduct lighting calculations and simulations to ensure proper illumination levels and distribution.

Prepare lighting specifications, product schedules, quotations, and design presentations.

Coordinate with architects, interior designers, electrical engineers, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Provide technical guidance on lighting installation, electrical requirements, dimming systems, and lighting controls.

Assist clients with product selection and lighting recommendations during showroom consultations.

Ensure lighting designs are aesthetically appealing, energy-efficient, and technically feasible.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. Electrical Engineering graduates are highly preferred.

At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in lighting design, lighting consultancy, or architectural lighting.

Strong knowledge of lighting specifications, including wattage, lumens, lux levels, Kelvin, CRI, beam angles, and lighting controls.

Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with DIALux, SketchUp, Relux, or other lighting design software is an advantage.

Able to interpret architectural, reflected ceiling, and electrical plans.

Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or luxury interior projects is an advantage.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and client presentation skills.
