You will join the Sales & System team in Aarhus, and you will mainly be working together with colleagues in the core design team. The team in Aarhus is also supporting projects in BEUMER Group worldwide, which means that you will also be working together with international colleagues.

Your tasks

Are you looking for a chance to design complete sorting systems to BEUMER customers ?

We are looking for a Mechanical System Designer to support the Logistics Sales team in BEUMER Group Denmark during the quotation process with focus on layout design for new sorting systems.

Layout design of new sorting systems As Mechanical System Designer, you will be involved in the system design from the very first customer request. During the quotation process you will be working closely with the technical colleagues from the department to develop a complete sortation solution which meets the customer's expectations. You will be the key person for preparing layout in AutoCAD and designing solutions which includes all necessary equipment to fulfil the sortation requirements defined by the customer.

The main responsibilities within the job are

• To prepare 3D sales layouts in AutoCAD for sorting systems quoted to customers worldwide
• To implement BEUMER Group equipment as well as equipment from external suppliers into overall layouts which are used in the sales process.
• To ensure that our design rules are incorporated into the layout in close cooperation with the experienced technical colleagues of the Sales & System team
• To keep the drawing database updated in close cooperation with colleagues in the team.

Requirements

Strong team player mindset The daily work is involving different colleagues depending on the individual project, so it is important that you enjoy being part of a team to find the right system solutions. As the design is prepared in close dialog with customers, ideas and layouts might be changed several times during the quotation process. An important part of the job is therefore to keep up the motivation for finding the right system solution together with the quotation team during this process and customer dialog.

We are looking for someone with the following key qualifications:

• Technical education as an engineer, e.g. mechanical or marine engineer.
• Experience in preparing technical solutions within 3D AutoCAD.
• Ready to participate in customer meetings and presenting technical solutions.
• Used to communication in English.
