Your area of responsibility:

• Responsibility for the strategic and operative direction as well as the further development of the purchasing department
• Development and implementation of a future-oriented purchasing, procurement, and supplier strategy in coordination with the management
• Representation of the company towards national and international suppliers as well as responsibility for contract negotiations
• Establishment and continuous development of a high-performance supplier management including supplier development, integration, and risk management
• Analysis, qualification, and exploration of European and international procurement markets
• Development and implementation of modern sourcing and supplier strategies
• Identification and realization of sustainable saving potentials through product cost optimization, value analyses, and collaboration with specialist departments
• Responsibility for the holistic management of supplier risk, taking into account market, price, and supply risks
• Further development of processes, systems, KPIs, and organizational structures in purchasing
• Ensuring maximum transparency regarding purchasing volumes, cost structures, and procurement KPIs
• Continuous optimization of all purchasing and procurement processes
• Leadership, development, and motivation of employees in purchasing as well as promotion of a performance- and goal-oriented team culture
• Observation and evaluation of relevant market, price, and technology trends
• Responsibility for achieving purchasing objectives

What you bring to the role:

• Successfully completed studies in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or a comparable qualification with a focus on purchasing, procurement, or similar
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in strategic and operative purchasing of a manufacturing company, ideally in mechanical or plant engineering
• Successes in the development and implementation of purchasing strategies, organizational developments, transformation and digitalization projects, as well as the sustainable optimization of purchasing processes
• Sound experience in supplier, contract, and risk management as well as in the management of national and international procurement structures
• Leadership competence combined with strategic thinking, high implementation strength, communication skills, and the ability to convince across departments and successfully shape changes
• Confident handling of modern ERP systems and digital purchasing solutions
• Business fluent English skills and willingness to travel internationally
