About us

We run two direct-to-consumer eyewear brands from Singapore, selling worldwide:

Bestia Performance eyewear for pickleball, with prescription options. Other sports will come later.

Rocket Eyewear A 9-year-old sunglasses brand known for its Asian Fit frames and customer service, now becoming a prescription-first glasses brand, with lenses made in our own US lab.

We’re a small team, we use AI heavily, and almost everything we do happens over email.

The role

The job has two halves:

Running day-to-day operations for both brands and managing our two operations managers. Once you’re up to speed, you’ll run the operations inbox so the founders don’t have to.

Executing our growth plans: making Rocket a prescription-first business and growing Bestia’s pickleball range. The founders provide the ideas, guidance and resources. You turn them into plans, line up the support you need and deliver the results.

Your time will split roughly 75% Bestia, 25% Rocket. You report to the founders and have real authority: within agreed limits, you make the call.

You own outcomes, not tasks. When something breaks, you fix it. When it works, the credit is yours.

What you’ll own

Day-to-day operations

  • The team: Set priorities and deadlines for our two operations managers, clear blockers, follow up until work is done, and coordinate showroom visits.
  • Customer experience: Our AI agent drafts most customer replies. You approve them daily, correct mistakes and turn corrections into standing rules. You handle the more complex cases, including refunds, returns, exchanges, remakes and complaints, see each through to resolution, and fix the root cause of recurring issues. Every customer gets a 10/10 experience.
  • Prescription orders: Manage prescription orders for both brands, from order through our US lab and lens suppliers to delivery. Flag prescriptions outside our recommended range, track turnaround, arrange remakes and keep customers informed. We’ll teach you the optical basics.
  • Inventory: Manage stock in Singapore and our US lab. Plan reorders and transfers, run stock checks and resolve discrepancies so products are where they’re needed.
  • Suppliers and logistics: Manage suppliers, production, quality and shipping partners. Resolve delays and defects, feed defect patterns back to factories, dispute incorrect courier charges, and improve reliability and costs.
  • Wholesale and consignment: Track partner stock, sales and returns. Invoice from sales reports, chase overdue payments and reconcile in Xero.
  • Processes: Build simple processes, train the team to use them, and keep Shopify and records organised.

Growth

  • Rocket’s shift to prescription: We’re turning Rocket from a mostly non-prescription sunglasses brand into a prescription-first glasses business. You’ll execute that plan: coordinate the team, our US lab and suppliers, make sure each step has what it needs, and track results against targets.
  • Bestia’s pickleball range: We’re strengthening our place in pickleball before we move into other sports. You’ll turn customer feedback into new products, develop them with our factories, plan stock and launches, and get the team ready for each one.
  • Launches: Forecast demand, recommend order quantities with cash flow in mind, set up stock and Shopify, and coordinate photoshoot samples.
  • The numbers: Know how both businesses and every growth project are performing. Every two weeks, send the founders a short report on sales, margins, service levels and growth progress, with clear recommendations.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Write exceptionally well. Almost all our communication is by email. Yours is clear, warm and concise, and you reply the same day wherever possible.
  • Take ownership. Once something is yours, nobody needs to chase you.
  • Execute. You turn ideas into plans and plans into results, ask for help early and see things through.
  • Spot problems early and fix them without being told.
  • Can switch between a customer issue, a supplier call and a growth project in one day.
  • Have led a team.
  • Know DTC e-commerce from the inside: Shopify, fulfilment and customer service.
  • Have launched a product from supplier to customer.
  • Use AI tools every day.
  • Want to learn the technical side of eyewear: fits, sizes, prescriptions and lenses.
  • Care about customer service the way some people care about design.
  • Are comfortable with unit economics, margins and a P&L.
  • Can work across time zones, since many customers and our lab are in the US.

Mindset matters more to us than years of experience. We care whether you take responsibility, make good decisions and get things done.

Where you’ll work

Our Ann Siang Hill office in Singapore, alongside our two operations managers, who are in the office five days a week.

Hybrid: at least three days a week in the office, more during your first three months.

What we offer

  • S$5,000–7,000/month
  • Day-to-day leadership of two brands: one growing fast, one established
  • A central role in growing both
  • Authority to make decisions, not just follow instructions
  • A small team with little bureaucracy and direct access to the founders
