Solving complex accounting issues, advising group companies, and driving accounting topics professionally forward: In the Accounting Center of Expertise at Bertelsmann Global Business Services, a versatile role with an international focus awaits you.

As a central contact person for accounting-related queries, you will support our group companies with demanding accounting topics and work closely with the central group departments. In addition to IFRS and HGB, your field of responsibility also includes international projects, M&A topics, as well as the further development of processes and internal controls.

Your Tasks

• At the center of your activity is the advice of our group companies on accounting and valuation issues according to IFRS and HGB.
• You will analyze complex accounting matters in depth, develop practical solutions, and document the results in a comprehensible manner.
• In international projects, especially with an M&A focus, you will contribute your accounting expertise.
• Your expertise is also required for the further development of accounting processes and internal controls.
• You will keep an eye on new accounting requirements and accompany their implementation in practice.
• You will continuously develop internal guidelines and professional specifications together with the relevant interfaces.
• You enjoy passing on your knowledge, for example, in presentations, workshops, and training sessions.

Qualifications

• A successfully completed degree, for example with a focus on international accounting, auditing, or business administration taxation, forms a good foundation for the position.
• You bring sound knowledge of IFRS and HGB and enjoy dealing with demanding accounting issues.
• Initial practical experience in an internationally active group or an auditing firm is an advantage.
• Knowledge of accounting with SAP is desirable.
• Analytical thinking skills and a structured way of working will help you find pragmatic and implementable solutions even for complex issues.
• Strong communication skills and team spirit characterize you as much as a high quality awareness and strong problem-solving competence.
• Very good English skills round off your profile.
