Electronics Lab Technician

Reports to: Operations Director Note: Only applicants with a valid right to work in Ireland will be considered for this position. There is absolutely no sponsorship option for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lab work, which includes excellent soldering of fine pitch components
• Bring-up & testing of Benetel products received from contract manufacturer
• Interface with engineering to ensure products are tested to specification and report issues to engineering to allow resolution in a timely manner
• Programming & active debug of Benetel products
• Ensure all products are presented to Quality department in accordance with Benetel QA standards
• Pack and ship Benetel products to Benetel’s standard process

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum educational requirement is a diploma or bachelor’s degree in any relevant technical discipline
• Minimum 18 months experience in electronic or phone repair, where excellent soldering capability was a key requirement

Key Skills:

• Proficient soldering capability to IPC Class 2
• Proficient in using programming tools (i.e. Xilinx, Microchip)
• Experience of manufacture or repair of electronic & telecommunication products
• Understanding of wireless testing requirements
• Ability to interpret electronic schematics and PCB layouts
• Ability to adhere to process
• Experience with Altium Designer would be advantageous
