We are looking for an operational buyer for a client in Göteborg!

Do you have experience in purchasing within manufacturing and/or maintenance operations and do you thrive in a role where you combine operational work with analysis and planning? We are now looking for an Operational buyer for a consulting assignment of 4-6 months. Here you will get to work with purchasing, supplier dialogue, system maintenance, and inventory optimization in a technically complex operation.

About the assignment The unit is responsible, among other things, for the procurement of spare parts and services for the company's machinery park. To strengthen the operation for a period, we are now looking for a temporary resource who can support the operational purchasing work.

Your tasks In the role, you will among other things: Be responsible for system maintenance and ensure that the business system and purchase orders contain correct and reliable data, as well as ensure correct information regarding, among other things, prices, lead times, supplier data, article numbers, drawing numbers, delivery terms, and confirmed delivery times.

Monitor purchasing needs and inventory levels.

Request quotations and handle inquiries from suppliers, as well as place orders for spare parts and maintenance and repair services.

Contribute to optimized purchasing with a focus on capital tie-up, inventory turnover rate, quality, price, and delivery precision.

Handle and resolve commercial issues together with suppliers.

Your qualifications We are looking for someone who has the following: Relevant post-secondary education in purchasing or equivalent competence acquired through work experience.

Documented experience of purchasing work.

Experience of negotiations in the public sector.

Understanding of financial management and cost drivers within the manufacturing industry.

Good computer literacy and find it easy to familiarize yourself with new systems.

Good knowledge of the Office package.

Good knowledge of English.

Personal qualities we would like you to have: Tactical understanding and the ability to see the big picture in different processes.

Good analytical ability.

Structured and thorough.
