Project Communicator for a government agency in Gävle

Do you want to drive the communication in a national project on behalf of the government? We are looking for an experienced project communicator for a government agency. You will have a key role in creating understanding and involvement among many different target groups, and you will work closely with the project management from the start.

About the assignment We are looking for an experienced project communicator for a full-time position in a national development project at a government agency in Gävle. Communication plays a central role in creating understanding, coordination, and involvement, and you will be the one driving it. Travel to Stockholm for meetings with important target groups may occur. You must also be available for a physical interview at the client on 19/10-20/10. The assignment extends from the signing of the agreement until 2027-10-31 with the possibility of extension.

Your tasks Assist the project management in coordinating dialogue and communication with the project's various target groups.

Use communication strategically and operationally to reach the project's goals.

Ensure that the communication is in line with the agency's overall communication and goals.

Together with the project management, be a driver in the planning, coordination, and implementation of communication activities, both internally and externally.

Collaborate closely with the Communication business area, fellow communicators, press officers, and the web editorial team.

Identify communication needs, plan and implement activities, and follow them up.

You will work closely with project management, project managers, project owners, and other colleagues in the project, and also report to colleagues within the Communication business area.

Your qualifications At least five years of experience in communication work, both strategically and operationally

Higher education in communication, PR, or media, or an equivalent education

Experience of communication within the public sector

Experience of being responsible for communication in larger projects

Experience of supporting managers, management teams, and other key individuals in communication matters

Experience of digital publishing, graphic design, image management, and moving media, as well as tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Episerver/Sitevision

Good knowledge of plain language, accessibility, and brand building

Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written

You are driven, goal-oriented, structured, creative, and communicative, and you want to and can quickly familiarize yourself with a project and its context. You create good collaborations between different competencies and simultaneously drive the work forward on your own.
