Track, collect and analyse the international LNG spot market and pricing information, and conduct technical analysis of spot and futures price trends.
Conduct negotiations for International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) agreements.
Develop hedging strategies for price locking, commodity futures and financial derivatives, complete the relevant internal approvals and procedures, and ensure proper execution of transactions.
Analyse LNG market data to identify trading opportunities, monitor risk exposure and manage derivatives positions.
Establish and maintain relationships with investment banks, brokers and other counterparties to obtain market information and pricing for derivatives transactions.
Prepare regular reports and presentations for management on financial derivatives, price-locking transactions and market developments.
Coordinate with internal teams, including Finance and Funds and Operations and Shipping, to ensure seamless execution of financial derivatives and price-locking transactions and timely delivery of commodities.
Ensure over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives comply with applicable regulations and guidelines, and work with the Legal and Contracts Department to meet audit requirements.
Job Requirements
Master’s degree or above in Business Administration, Economics, Strategic Management, Energy Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in LNG trading, commodity trading, derivatives or financial risk management.
Knowledge of LNG markets, spot and futures pricing, hedging strategies and financial derivatives.
Familiarity with ISDA agreements, OTC derivatives and relevant regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical, quantitative, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for market analysis and reporting.
