MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER (M/F)
Reporting to the Head of the Design Office for the support activities of the DU Residential, you will act as a mechanical design engineer and contribute to the development, improvement, and evolution of the group's products.
Your main missions:
-Research, study, and document the technical and technological solutions most suited to project needs. -Participate in the design and development of innovative solutions in compliance with functional, regulatory, and industrial requirements. -Perform 3D modeling of parts and assemblies as well as definition drawings, bills of materials, dimension chains, and other associated technical deliverables. -As part of the Product Change Management (PCM) process, analyze evolution requests (Engineering Change Requests), define appropriate technical responses, validate selected solutions, and ensure the dissemination of modification notices. -Collaborate closely with Quality, Purchasing, Production teams, and suppliers to guarantee the feasibility and robustness of developed solutions. -Work in interface with the various R&D entities of the group to ensure technical consistency and the sharing of best practices. -Ensure compliance with the quality, cost, and deadline objectives defined for projects. -Participate in the creation of prototypes, monitoring of tests, and analysis of results to validate the performance of developed solutions.
Holding a higher education degree in mechanics (engineer level or equivalent), you have at least 5 years of experience in mechanical design within a design office or an industrial environment.
Rigorous and autonomous, you possess excellent analytical and synthesis skills. You enjoy collaborative work and know how to interact effectively with various stakeholders, both internally and externally. Your open-mindedness, listening skills, and interpersonal ease allow you to contribute positively to project success and team development.
-Mastery of 3D CAD software, ideally Solid Edge. -Knowledge of Teamcenter or an equivalent PLM tool is an asset. -Good knowledge of manufacturing processes: plastic injection, thermoforming, sheet metal, casting, mechanos welding, and assembly. -Mastery of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel; knowledge of SAP is appreciated. -Operational technical English, both written and spoken.
