R&D Data Operations (m/f/d) limited to 12 months

Shape the future of excellent research data.

You will play a key role in further developing data quality in pharmaceutical research and making research data more accessible, reliable, and impactful according to FAIR principles. In doing so, you will combine strategic thinking with analytical expertise and technical know-how to strengthen Data Governance and continuously improve the use of project-related data in Research and Development. In close cooperation with various specialist departments, you will capture requirements and translate them into practical data and analytics solutions with tangible added value for the business. Through your contribution to the construction and further development of modern data landscapes, you will create the foundation for sound, data-driven decisions throughout the entire organization.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You define and maintain standards for data generation and data curation and support users in successfully implementing these in their daily work
• You analyze existing datasets and their dependencies to enable informed decisions on data access, data use, and Data Governance
• You contribute to the digital transformation of Bayer by advancing data-driven ways of working in Research and Development
• You understand the requirements of laboratory data management and help develop solutions that make data FAIR, accessible, and reusable
• You support the conception and implementation of automated solutions that increase efficiency and simplify data processing
• You lead the development and introduction of solutions for research project information and ensure that business requirements are translated into practical and sustainable solutions
• You work closely with interdisciplinary stakeholders to define information requirements and continuously improve data quality and data usability
• You strengthen the data basis for sound decisions and contribute to accelerating scientific innovation

WHAT DISTINGUISHES YOU

• You have a completed Master's degree in the natural sciences, Bioinformatics, Cheminformatics, or a comparable field; a doctorate is an advantage
• You bring experience in data curation within scientific or research-oriented work environments
• You have already worked in the area of Data Stewardship, Data Governance, Master Data Management, or a comparable data-related role
• You design and implement automated workflows that improve the efficiency and quality of data processing
• You understand data architectures, metadata models, and semantic technologies and use this knowledge to solve complex data challenges
• You use your strong analytical thinking skills and high quality standards to continuously improve processes and communicate complex data topics in an understandable way
• You work in a structured and detail-oriented manner, manage projects reliably, and work successfully with various stakeholders, even in a dynamic and changing environment
• You acquire new topics quickly and bridge the gap between business, scientific, and technical requirements
• You have very good written and spoken English skills

The position is to be filled for a limited period of 12 months.
