Chemical Laboratory Technician (all genders) Process Analytical Technologies / PAT

You will support pharmaceutical development projects through the use of Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) and thus contribute to a better process understanding as well as more efficient manufacturing processes. In the PAT laboratory team, you will work on modern spectroscopic methods and bring new technologies into the laboratory, pilot scale, and production. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You support pharmaceutical development projects through PAT monitoring and thus contribute to more process understanding and efficiency
• You perform PAT in-process measurements, especially using spectroscopic methods, in the laboratory as well as, if required, in pilot and production plants
• The independent development and validation of PAT models, for example for NIR or Raman spectroscopy using chemometry, is part of your tasks
• You use suitable reference analytics, for example HPLC and Karl Fischer titration, to support model development and validation
• You supervise, maintain, and support analytical devices as well as PAT systems
• Scale-up and technology transfer activities are part of your contribution to project success
• You introduce new technologies and actively participate in interdisciplinary project teams

WHAT DISTINGUISHES YOU

• You have completed training as a chemical laboratory technician and further training as a chemical technician and bring several years of professional experience, or you have a comparable qualification
• You bring very good knowledge of organic chemistry, ideally supplemented by experience in chemical process development
• A strong interest in analytical questions and initial experience with analytical methods, ideally spectroscopy, distinguish you
• You bring experience with Design of Experiments and data analysis; basic knowledge of statistics is an advantage
• You enjoy working closely with scientists, engineers, and production teams
• A team-oriented and cooperative way of working is one of your strengths
• You impress through flexibility, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills
• Very good written and spoken English skills round off your profile
