At BAYADA you'll work one-on-one in home and community settings as a Companion and Mentor as a part-time Special Needs Caregiver / DSP for Adults with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities to help them reach their full potential! This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who has ever worked as an Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), Behavioral Technician (BT), Paraprofessional, Teacher/ Teaching Assistant or anyone who loves caring and supporting others as they work towards their goals.

Job Responsibilities for Special Needs - Caregiver - DSP :
You will provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
You will accompany clients on errands and appointments
You will spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
You will assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
You will participate in community integration activities
Qualifications for Special Needs - Caregiver - DSP :
One year experience working with I/DD individuals; If you do not have this experience, training may be available through our apprentice program
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation with the ability to transport clients to and from appointments, errands or outings
Experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), Behavioral Technician (BT), Paraprofessional or Teacher/ Teaching Assistant is highly preferred but not required
