Java SAS Developer

Tribedo is looking for a developer to Helsinki for the client's Datakyvykkyydet-family, in the Raptori-team. The position is fixed-term and lasts until 31.12.2027. Start as soon as possible.

The Raptori-team is responsible for the client's insurance business financial reporting and calculation. The team produces and maintains financial statement, provision, income, and profitability reporting, as well as handles the reconciliations of insurance business sub-ledgers. The information produced by the team is utilized, among others, by controllers, actuaries, and finance experts.

We are looking for an experienced developer to be responsible for the maintenance, development, and modernization of a business-critical reporting and calculation system. You will work in a demanding legacy environment, where you will get to solve extensive technical entities as well as implement significant development projects.

Key tasks include, among others:

• Implementing security updates for Java and SAS solutions
• Planning and implementing technology updates for SAS and Java environments
• System modernization as well as preparation and implementation of a future Azure migration
• Ensuring production continuity, performance, and technical lifecycle management
• Development and maintenance of the business-critical reporting environment

We expect from you

• Strong experience in the development and maintenance of legacy systems
• Experience in SAS programming and good architectural understanding
• Experience in Java development as well as Java applications
• Ability to work independently and solve problems in complex environments
• Readiness to participate in technical production support on-call during financial statement calculations
• Fluent English skills

Additionally, experience in the following will be considered an advantage

• Risk Integrity Apps solutions
• IFRS17 financial statement calculation
• Cloud environments and Azure migrations
• Building AI environments and AI development
• Modernization and transformation projects in business-critical systems
