SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Respond to support request and provide IT technical assistant to company employees related to the IT systems. Identify and oversee user needs. Install, configure, secure and deploy application server (Linux and Microsoft) Identify and oversee company needs in enhancing IT system’s performance, security, and reliability. Conduct regular backup of servers, computers, and other IT systems. Performs troubleshooting as required. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving with the company’s IT infrastructure, vendors, 3rd party contractors and other support personnel and/or organizations. Stays current with technological developments in the information technology. Recommend solution and method that would be beneficial to company’s business operations.

Qualifications/Requirements: At least 3-years’ experience in systems administration and support duties such as running application servers and providing technical support. Proven and highly skilled in Linux scripting and configuration is highly considerable. Certifications in Linux Administration (CompTIA Linux + or RHCSA), Networks (any vendor or with CompTIA Network A+), Virtualization (VMware or Proxmox is highly considerable. Candidates with work experience deploying and administering server hosting Odoo and Nextcloud both on premises and cloud would be highly considered. Experience in backing up systems (specifically Linux) using automated scripts and commands. Has work experience in application containerization, Kubernetes and OpenShift. Can start ASAP.
