Brew Bar Barista
The Brew Bar Barista is a frontline, customer-facing role responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations at Brew Bar outlets. This position plays a dual role in preparing beverages and delivering direct service to customers, including order taking, cashiering, and basic serving. Operating in a lean team environment without a full kitchen, the Brew Bar Barista is expected to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain service quality during peak periods. This role is critical in delivering a consistent customer experience, upholding operational standards, and representing the brand through efficient service, accuracy, and professional interaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares beverages accurately according to approved recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
- Ensures consistent taste, temperature, and visual quality for every product served.
- Offers authentic smiles and eye contact; use the standard greetings.
- Guides guests to tables, explains outlet mapping, and introduces yourself by name
- Executes Opening, Running, and Closing Checklists to ensure the outlet is always "guest-ready."
- Performs continuous "Clear-up & Clean-up" of tables (pre-bussing) and maintains outlet cleanliness.
- Learns customer names and regular orders to personalize the experience.
- Proactively suggests menu items, highlights LTOs (Limited Time Offers), and guides customers on how to order via POS or QR code.
- Checks ingredient availability, freshness, and quality before use.
- Applies FIFO and proper storage practices.
- Complies with all operational SOPs, hygiene, and safety requirements at all times.
- Follows food safety procedures for handling, preparation, and storage.
- Coordinates tasks across cashiering, beverage preparation, and serving to maintain smooth service flow
- Communicates operational updates, issues, or shortages clearly to Brew Bar Experience Manager
- Completes assigned learning modules, including BAKED. Silo Academy, within required timelines.
- Applies learning outcomes consistently during daily operations.
Job Specifications
- Minimum Senior High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Experience in barista, cashier, or food & beverage service is preferred.
- Has an extensive knowledge of coffee, beverages, and latte art.
- Ability to prepare beverages according to recipes and SOP standards.
- Able to operate a POS system, handle basic transactions, and process payments accurately.
- Basic understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Able to manage multiple roles like brewing, cashiering, and serving.
- Communicates clearly with customers and team members.
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
