TRUCK DRIVER

Responsibility:

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to safely and efficiently transport bakery products, including cakes, bread, pastries, and other baked goods, to customers and retail locations. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of road safety regulations and an excellent track record of timely deliveries. This role involves operating trucks for the pickup and delivery of bakery products, including cakes, bread, pastries, and other baked goods, ensuring the safe handling of products and providing professional customer service.

Job Description:

• Safely transport the cake and bread to designated locations within set timelines, ensuring punctual deliveries while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading bakery from the truck, ensuring the secure and proper handling of all bakery to avoid damage during transit.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections before and after trips, including checking tire pressure, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and other key components to ensure the truck is in good working condition.
• Plan and follow the most efficient and safe routes to ensure timely deliveries, while considering traffic patterns, weather conditions, and any road restrictions.
• Accurately maintain all required transport documents, such as delivery notes, trip logs, and mileage records. Ensure that all delivery paperwork is properly signed by the client.
• Strictly follow all company policies and road safety regulations, including adhering to legal weight limits, securing loads, and driving within legal speed limits.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delivery status, delays, or any issues encountered during the trip.
• Ensure that the bakery is properly secured, and implement necessary security measures to prevent theft or loss of goods during transportation.
• Able to carry heavy goods, roughly 20KG - 30KG.
• Competent in the operation of trucks and ancillary attached equipment.
• Assist in ad-hoc duties when necessary.
• Able to work under pressure and in hot environment.
• Flexibility working time, need work on public holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Working Location: Woodlands

Working Hours: First trip starts at approximately 6:00 AM –6:30 AM

Requirement：

• At least 2 Year(s) of working experience and have experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Must possess at least a higher Education/ Diploma in any field.
• Possess a Singapore Class 4/5 driving license or able to take Class 4/5 Driving License.
• Familiar driving on Singapore roads or able to use GPS
• Strategic & critical thinking as well as decision-making and negotiation skills.
• Able to adapt, prioritize, exercise initiative, manage pressure, multi-task and work independently.
• Excellent customer service skills, including communication skills, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and teamwork spirit.
• Time management/ meticulous and mature in work.
