Logistics & Shipping Specialist – Part-Time

We are a Gulf-based company headquartered in Oman, currently establishing a fully remote virtual office. We are looking for an experienced Logistics & Shipping Specialist to join our team on a part-time, online basis. The role requires a professional who can handle more than routine shipment follow-up. We are looking for someone with a strong logistics and commercial mindset who can research shipping options, negotiate with shipping companies and suppliers, compare prices and routes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and find practical solutions to logistics challenges. The specialist will be responsible for monitoring shipments from the initial stage through to their arrival in Oman, with a particular focus on shipping routes involving Russia, Iran, and Oman. The role may involve researching and evaluating shipping options through the Caspian Sea between Russia and Iran, as well as Air Freight options from Russia to Iran. The ideal candidate should be proactive, analytical, and capable of making practical recommendations regarding costs, transit times, suppliers, shipping routes, and potential logistics opportunities. The initial compensation during the evaluation period is USD 98 per month on a part-time basis. This is paid trial-period compensation and is not considered a final or permanent salary. Following the evaluation of experience, performance, creativity, quality of work, and level of responsibility, the compensation may be increased accordingly.

Strong practical experience in Logistics & Shipping. Good knowledge of international shipping routes, particularly routes involving Russia. Experience or knowledge of shipping routes between Russia, Iran, and Oman. Good understanding of Caspian Sea shipping options between Russia and Iran. Knowledge of Air Freight options from Russia to Iran. Ability to track and follow shipments until their arrival in Oman. Strong negotiation skills when dealing with shipping companies, suppliers, and logistics providers. Ability to research, compare, and evaluate different shipping options, prices, routes, and delivery times. Ability to handle shipping documents and related procedures. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with delays and unexpected logistics issues. Ability to identify opportunities for reducing costs and improving purchasing and shipping operations. Strong research and analytical skills. Commercial thinking and the ability to evaluate logistics decisions from both a cost and efficiency perspective. Russian language skills are considered an advantage but are not mandatory. A computer or laptop suitable for online work. Stable and reliable internet connection. Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with different parties online. Strong commitment to deadlines and fast follow-up. Portfolio or examples of previous logistics and shipping projects are required. Candidates of all nationalities are welcome to apply.
