HVAC Technical Office Engineer – Ductwork
Badr and Asfour for Engineering and Metal Industries is an Egyptian company specialized in Central Ventilation Systems (CVS), providing certified HVAC and ventilation solutions across the Middle East and Africa. We are looking for an HVAC Estimation Engineer – Ductwork to join our Technical Sales Office team in Cairo . The role focuses on ductwork estimation, costing, quotations, technical submittals, order processing, and coordination with Sales, Production, Finance, and Logistics. Key Responsibilities Prepare ductwork quotations, estimates, and costing sheets for customers in Egypt and GCC markets.
Review customer drawings, specifications, LPOs, and project requirements and verify quantities and technical details.
Prepare technical submittals, compliance statements, calculations, schedules, and order documentation .
Create and process OERs, OPRs, Sales Orders, and Order Acknowledgements through the company ERP system.
Prepare and update AutoCAD tag drawings and tag lists for different production stages.
Provide technical support to the Sales Team regarding ductwork requirements, quotations, selections, and customer inquiries.
Communicate with clients through emails, phone calls, and meetings when required to clarify technical and order requirements.
Coordinate with Production, Finance, Logistics, Quality, and Sales to ensure smooth and timely order processing.
Monitor quotations, orders, drawings, and technical submissions to ensure deadlines are met.
Support management with costing, pricing, technical clarification, and project-related requirements .
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline .
2–5 years of relevant experience in HVAC estimation, technical office, technical sales support, or order processing.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC ductwork estimation or technical office is mandatory.
Good knowledge of HVAC ductwork, duct fabrication, materials, dimensions, and technical drawings .
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering drawings.
Experience with quotations, costing, technical submittals, and compliance statements .
Experience using ERP systems for quotations, sales orders, OPRs, and order processing.
Good Excel skills for costing, quantity verification, calculations, and reporting.
Excellent command of English , especially technical and commercial emails and documents.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines .
Preferred Experience in HVAC ductwork manufacturing or fabrication .
Experience with GCC projects or customers .
Familiarity with HVAC standards such as SMACNA, DW/144, BS, EN, AMCA, and NFPA .
