Job Duties
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, Bills of Quantities and tender submissions for marine and infrastructure projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and contract documents to determine project requirements.
- Manage procurement activities including preparation of subcontract packages and tender enquiries.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations from both technical and commercial perspectives.
- Administer subcontract agreements, progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
- Conduct commercial and contractual assessments of project risks and opportunities.
- Support tender reviews involving construction methodology, pricing strategy and project execution planning.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project teams to resolve commercial and contractual matters.
- Maintain project records to support claims, variations and contractual submissions.
- Participate in project planning and resource assessments to ensure successful project delivery.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, contracts administration or commercial management.
- Experience in marine construction projects, marine tenders or infrastructure projects.
- Experience preparing and reviewing method statements, tender proposals and cost estimates.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, subcontract management, variation claims and final counts.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and commercial risk assessments.
- Experience evaluating subcontractor proposals from technical and commercial perspectives.
- Ability to prepare tender documentation and support bid submissions.
- Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Marine works tendering and bid management experience preferred
- Experienced in cost estimation and construction methodology development.
- Experienced working on large-scale infrastructure, reclamation, port, coastal or marine projects.
- Experienced collaborating with engineering, planning, procurement and commercial teams during tender preparation.
