The position:

We are currently supporting one of our clients, a recognized player in the aeronautics for defense sector (the person must be eligible for security clearance), designing and certifying aircraft modifications.

Scope of the mission:

  • Integration by Retrofit of communication systems (ATA23) and connectivity (ATA44) on board aircraft.
  • Production of electrical wiring & interconnection of communication / connectivity systems.

Operational activities of the electrical designer:

  • Performs data collection through documentary research in aircraft manuals and the system suites to be installed (written English).
  • Creates electrical interconnection diagrams and schematics as well as the installation of these systems in the aircraft.
  • Prepares the installation package [drawing + bill of materials] as well as the manufacturing of all relevant harnesses.
  • Selects all electrical components (cables, connectors, contacts) for use in kits.
  • Guarantees key or critical system functions (RF performance, component selection regarding requested currents, EMI constraints?).
  • Stores and manages the configuration of all components and harnesses in the technical data management tool (GDD / Audros).
  • Produces various supplement manuals (AWM, ASM, HUL') in the OEM format.
  • Produces the aircraft electrical bus load analysis (ELA-ATA24) and applies standard electrical installation rules (ESPM / EWIS).
  • Supports certification teams (CVE) towards obtaining EASA / FAA STC.

Profile sought:

Defense subject, therefore the person must be eligible for security clearance.

  • Mastery of aircraft electrical environments (Airbus - ESPM / Boeing - SWPM) as well as interconnection harnesses (EWIS).
  • Mastery of aircraft manuals (Airbus - AWM, ASM, AWL / Boeing - WDM, SSM) and electrical load balances (ELA).
  • Preparation of bill of materials & kits, knowledge of electrical interconnection components and items.
  • Writing ability for supplement manuals (AWM, ASM, HUL, SB, ICA in support).
  • Knowledge of communication systems (SATCOM) and connectivity (IFE, GSM, WIFI?) in cockpit and cabin is a plus.
