The position:

As part of our growth, we are looking for an HSE Engineer / HSE Coordinator (M/F) to work for one of our clients, a recognized player in the maritime sector. The position is initially based near Marseille (13), where you will participate in project preparation, before joining the teams on-site in Sweden to support the implementation phase.

You will join a large-scale project related to water treatment. You will be responsible for implementing the HSE policy throughout the preparation and execution phases of the work.

Your main missions are listed below:

  • Develop and implement the project's HSE procedures and standards.
  • Identify hazards present in the workplace and assess the associated risks.
  • Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) as well as risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as the company's safety rules.
  • Promote a true safety culture among employees and subcontractors.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections on construction sites.
  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and dangerous situations in order to implement appropriate corrective actions.

Profile sought:

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree (Bac+3 to Bac+5) in HSE, QHSE, Risk Prevention, or equivalent.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience on industrial, construction, maritime, or offshore projects.
  • You master HSE coordination in a construction site environment and possess a strong field safety culture.
  • Experience in maritime, port, offshore, or civil engineering projects is a real asset.
  • Professional English is essential, both spoken and written, in order to operate in an international context.
  • Holding a BOSIET, GWO Basic Safety Training (BST), or Merchant Marine Basic Safety Training certification is a plus (training may be offered if necessary).
  • The NEBOSH qualification is also highly appreciated.
  • The SST (Sauveteur Secouriste du Travail) certificate is an additional asset.
