Within the Process Development department of the Braun Technology Center (BTC), we are looking for a Senior Expert (f/m/d) Vision Systems for the Melsungen location at the earliest possible date.

The BTC develops and manufactures customized special machines and tools for medical technology. In doing so, the organizational unit contributes significantly to ensuring product quality and safety. The BTC is part of the Hospital Care division, but operates for the entire Group.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• You develop, implement, and standardize image processing and inspection systems for production and quality processes on a global level
• The identification and evaluation of new technologies in the fields of Vision, Edge AI, Physical AI, and intelligent sensor technology is part of your area of responsibility
• You lead Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs), feasibility studies, and pilot projects and accompany them through to successful industrialization
• You actively design and coordinate the integration of vision systems into existing automation, manufacturing, and MES landscapes
• You define global standards, architectures, and best practices for vision solutions
• In close cooperation with production sites, engineering teams, IT, quality management, and external technology partners, you successfully implement innovative solutions
• Through data-driven analyses, you identify optimization potential and continuously improve production and testing processes
• When introducing new solutions, you evaluate economic efficiency, scalability, and regulatory requirements and derive recommendations for action
• Furthermore, you advise and coach internal teams in the field of AI-supported image processing
• You monitor relevant technology trends, build an international innovation network, and maintain it continuously

Technical Competencies:

• You have a successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Data Science, or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in the fields of Computer Vision or industrial image processing characterize your profile
• You have sound knowledge of common vision libraries and tools
• Furthermore, you bring experience in the development, training, and validation of AI models for industrial applications
• You are familiar with the integration of camera technology, lighting systems, sensor technology, and Edge Computing platforms
• You have knowledge of handling industrial automation systems (SPS, OPC UA, industrial networks)
• Ideally, you have already gained experience with regulatory requirements as well as validation and qualification processes in regulated industries
• Additionally, you bring experience in leading international projects and working in interdisciplinary teams
• Very good written and spoken English skills round off your profile; German skills are desirable
