Mechanical Engineer

Your tasks

We're looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team and help turn product concepts into practical, reliable designs.

You'll be involved in the product development process, from mechanical design and prototyping to testing and production support. Working closely with our Hardware and cross-functional engineering teams, you'll contribute to the development of cameras, networking equipment, wireless devices and IoT products.

• Design and develop mechanical components, enclosures and assemblies for electronic products.
• Create 3D models, technical drawings and prototypes using CAD software.
• Select suitable materials and manufacturing processes to meet product performance, durability and cost requirements.
• Work closely with Hardware, Electrical and other engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs into complete products.
• Support prototype development, testing, design validation and product improvements.
• Identify and resolve mechanical design, assembly and manufacturing issues.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure products meet technical specifications, quality standards and cost targets.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications and assembly instructions.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and work with manufacturing teams to improve product manufacturability.
• Keep up with new materials, design methods and technologies to improve product quality and development efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical design, preferably involving electronic products or equipment.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA or equivalent tools.
• Good understanding of mechanical design principles, material selection and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with prototyping, mechanical testing and design troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and project deadlines.

• Experience developing IP cameras, networking equipment, wireless devices or IoT products.
• Familiarity with product development from concept and prototyping through to mass production.
• Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) or product lifecycle management.
• Exposure to electronic hardware integration and communication interfaces used in connected devices.
