The business is a PE-backed, multi-site trade business with branches across the UK. It has more than doubled in size in the last few years and is still growing fast. It’s a big business without the corporate feel. Decisions get made quickly and the finance team has a real voice.

Your tasks

VAT, corporation tax, customs, transfer pricing, CIS, PSA, Plastic Packaging Tax, Pillar 2. If it’s tax, it’s yours.

What you’d be doing Owning tax reporting and compliance across the group Being the go-to tax person for senior leaders across the branch network Supporting HMRC Large Business, SAO and the external audit Improving processes, including automation and AI

Requirements

What they’re after Tax experience in a large, complex business Strong Excel and ERP skills Qualified or studying (preferred, not essential) Someone who can explain tax to people who don’t work in finance
