Fire Watch Security Guard ? Vancouver, BC

*Axion Security Services Ltd.* is seeking reliable and responsible *Security Guards / Fire Watch Guards* to join our team for a fire watch assignment at a commercial building in Vancouver.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a continuous fire watch, conducting regular patrols, monitoring the building for fire hazards, and immediately reporting any safety concerns or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous *fire watch* throughout the assigned shift.
• Remain stationed at the *building reception/lobby* when not conducting patrols.
• Conduct a complete building patrol *every 30 minutes*.
• Check designated areas for signs of:
• Fire or smoke
• Water leaks or sprinkler issues
• Fire hazards
• Unsafe conditions
• Other potential emergencies
• Monitor building access and report unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate patrol and activity logs.
• Immediately report any fire, smoke, emergency, or hazardous condition to the appropriate parties.
• Follow all site-specific fire watch procedures and emergency protocols.
• Communicate professionally with building staff, contractors, tenants, and emergency responders when required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and remain alert throughout the entire shift.
• Complete incident reports when required.

Requirements

• Valid *BC Security Worker Licence*.
• Previous security or fire watch experience is an asset.
• Strong observation and communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to remain alert for extended periods.
• Ability to conduct regular building patrols.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Basic knowledge of emergency and fire safety procedures.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
