AVL continues to grow within automotive software and is now seeking a Software Engineer – Connected Systems for our team in Göteborg. This is a role for you who thrives on responsibility, technical challenges, and working in an international environment. You will become part of a growing team and contribute to the development of future digital and connected solutions within the automotive industry.

In this role, you will work with software development related to digital products and platforms within automotive. You may work with, for example, backend platforms for connected vehicles, Android-based infotainment systems, or cloud-based services within automotive. You will collaborate closely with both AVL's internal experts and our customers, focusing on modern development environments, quality, and technical innovation.

In Sweden, we are approximately 250 employees, based in Göteborg, Haninge, Stockholm, and Södertälje. As an engineer with us, you will work closely with experts both globally within AVL and out at our customers – always with technology at the absolute forefront.

You will work with development, testing, and further development of software in product-oriented environments within the automotive industry. The role includes design and implementation of new features as well as working with existing systems and platforms.

The work takes place in agile and cross-functional teams where you collaborate closely with developers, testers, and other technical functions to create stable and sustainable solutions.

Depending on the assignment, the work may be focused on backend development, cloud-based services, or Android-based systems within infotainment and HMI, with a focus on quality, performance, and user experience.

Profile Description:

We are looking for someone who has a combination of technical skill, curiosity, and a strong desire to contribute to complex development projects.

We are looking for you who have a college or university degree in computer engineering, software development, IT, or equivalent, as well as a few years of experience in professional software development.

You have good knowledge of Java, Kotlin, or C# and feel comfortable in modern development environments. We would prefer if you have experience in backend development, Android development, or cloud-based systems.

Furthermore, you have experience with Git-based development workflows as well as an understanding of CI/CD and automated testing. Experience with Linux-based development environments is also valuable for the role.

You communicate fluently in English and thrive in collaborative and international environments.

Meritorious

• It is meritorious if you have experience with Android Automotive, infotainment systems, or work with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Previous experience from the automotive industry or other complex product development environments is also seen as positive.
