At Avetics Global, we are at the cutting edge of robotics and autonomous systems, pioneering innovative solutions that transform various industries. Beyond our work in aerial technology, we are actively expanding the boundaries of maritime robotics and surface autonomy. We are excited to offer an internship opportunity for passionate individuals eager to bridge engineering and real-world deployment by developing and trialing Autonomous Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs). Role Overview: The Solutions Engineer Intern will play a hands-on role in developing, integrating, and testing autonomous USV platforms. Working at the intersection of technical engineering and operational solution design, this role focuses on system setup, sensor integration, field trial execution on the water, and analyzing performance data to refine marine autonomy for real-world applications. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the assembly, hardware-software integration, and payload setup of Autonomous USV systems.

Plan, set up, and execute field trials on water to evaluate USV navigation, control systems, and mission execution.

Collect and analyze post-trial telemetry and log data to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize autonomous performance.

Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to translate field trial insights into system refinements and design improvements.

Develop technical documentation, operational guidelines, and trial reports for internal teams and potential solution showcases.

Support technical scoping and demonstrations to illustrate USV capabilities for specialized operational use cases.

Perform bench testing, diagnostic routines, and routine maintenance on USV hardware and components prior to field testing.

Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, or a related field.

Hands-on experience with robotics, control systems, or hardware/software integration projects.

Familiarity with autonomous systems navigation, sensor integration (e.g., GPS, LiDAR, sonar, camera systems), or robotics middleware (e.g., ROS, ArduPilot, PX4) is a plus.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++.

Adaptability and willingness to work hands-on in outdoor field settings and maritime testing environments.

Strong troubleshooting abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
