Retirement Savings: After 6 months, you receive an automatic contribution of 2% of eligible pay (even if you contribute $0) plus a matching contribution of 50% on the first 4% of eligible pay you contribute.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Capacity & Demand Planner to join our team. The individual in this position will forecast future capacity requirements and formulate strategic initiatives to guarantee resource availability matching overall demand. This role demands a robust understanding of supply chain management, data analysis, and operational workflows. The Capacity & Demand Planner will work in tandem with finance, sales, and operations departments to enhance resource efficiency and support business growth. This is an onsite position based out of our facility in North York, ON. Core responsibilities include: Develop the Demand Planning Process: Map and evaluate existing information flows, establishing a structured, comprehensive demand planning workflow.

Gather Intelligence: Engage directly with Customer Service, Marketing, and Sales units to collect critical market intelligence, promotional updates, and client feedback to refine forecasts.

Forecasting and Analysis: Evaluate historical figures, commercial trends, and company projections to anticipate upcoming capacity needs across facilities, equipment, and staffing.

Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute short and long-term capacity strategies matching organizational goals and addressing operational bottlenecks.

Data Modeling: Build and maintain capacity models to test diverse operational scenarios and determine the organizational effect of key decisions.

Collaboration: Partner closely across functional groups to collect information, understand operational targets, and share capacity insights and guidance.

Performance Monitoring: Measure and report primary capacity metrics, pinpointing optimization areas and proposing evidence-based adjustments.

Process Improvement: Continually review and refine capacity planning frameworks, systems, and execution methods.

Peak Season Preparation: Maximize asset distribution to maintain productive resource usage and prompt delivery of goods or services.

Risk Management: Detect prospective capacity limitations and establish risk mitigation action plans.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline (Advanced degree preferred).

Experience: 4 to 5 years of background in demand planning, capacity planning, supply chain analysis, or a related function.

Technical Skills: Competency in analytical applications (such as Excel, SQL, Python, R) and expertise in Google Workspace applications, particularly Google Sheets, for collaborative projects and data analysis.

Systems & Forecasting: Familiarity with ERP software or capacity planning tools (such as SAP, Oracle) and a solid comprehension of quantitative forecasting techniques.

Soft Skills & Adaptability: Superior problem-solving and communication abilities, with a demonstrated capability to manage ambiguity, establish order in unstructured settings, reach effective decisions despite limited background data, work autonomously and cross-functionally, and focus on detail in high-tempo environments.

Pay Transparency: The salary range for this position is $67,725 - $101,136 / year. The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
