About the role The Assistant Automation Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining graphics automation routines using existing and future automation tools and methodologies across all supported production methods. The candidate will also create and maintain internal process documentation to ensure operational consistency and standards across global sites. Key Responsibilities Work with requestors and relevant teams to support new customer programs and initiatives, ensuring graphics automation routines are available in a timely manner aligned with customer orders.
Ensure all customer programs adhere to existing graphics automation standards, including coding conventions, procedures, operational manuals, and formatting consistency.
Provide technical support for reported issues related to product setups, product amendments, or routine errors.
Resolve issues in a timely manner and manage the correction and migration of fixes across global production sites to maintain consistent manufacturing accuracy.
Ensure accuracy and global consistency of setups across all automation-maintained programs.
Review and monitor automation routines continuously to maximize operational benefits at each site.
Work towards and maintain personal GPS goals.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at individual workstations and across the department.
Strictly adhere to all departmental health and safety procedures.
Perform additional duties as requested by management.
Higher Diploma graduate or above, majoring in Mathematics, Computing, or Computer Science (knowledge of printing or graphic design is an advantage).
Open to fresh graduates; prior experience in programming roles or projects is an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of programming languages (JavaScript preferred; FileMaker, Java, C++, or C#).
Familiarity or working knowledge of graphics software (Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, or Adobe Illustrator).
Good command of MS Excel, MS Word, and Google Workspace applications.
Good command of spoken and written English; knowledge of Cantonese is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and reporting skills.
Responsible, hardworking, detail-oriented, with a strong spirit of teamwork.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, handle large workloads, and approach challenges calmly and professionally.
Good communication skills and the ability to recognize colors accurately.
