CNC Lathe Setup Person

Avers Machine , a TMA Member company, is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Set Up Person ; Programmer not required but a plus to add to our team in Schiller Park, IL. Avers Inc is a growing precision manufacturing company located in the NW Suburbs (near O'hare Airport) in Schiller Park, IL. The CNC Lathe Set Up position will be responsible for performing the setup of machine, bring in program from server, setup jaws, set all tools. Programming of machine (not required but a plus) , in process inspection, and running of small to medium batch production jobs. The ideal candidate will be team oriented with a good attitude. Responsibilities: Operate CNC Lathes, Turret style or Swiss type Work well in team environment Operate, load/unload material, indicate vices/fixtures, setup robotic tending systems Inspect and verify conformance to specifications, high blueprint reading ability Provide crucial input on CNC programming, tool path, and tool/cutter selection Requirements: CNC operating experience Able to program using cam system, preferably Mastercam (will train but not required) Mastery of setting up fixtures, tooling, vices, and clamps Operates machines running complex and high tolerance components Follows all safety and work rules and practices Passionate about prototyping and machining Strong work ethic and highly motivated Meticulous attention to detail and well organized Strong verbal communication skills, team oriented Excellent mathematic knowledge including multiplication, division, fractions. Independent and willing to take initiative Able to work in a fast-paced constantly changing environment with tight deadlines and occasional long hours Bilingual in English and/or Spanish and Polish a plus, not required Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $25.00 per hour Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Application Question(s): What is your anticipated hourly wage for this role?
