Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on GCP Cloud Automation Engineer to build and enhance automation capabilities across our Google Cloud Platform environment. The role will focus on platform automation, operational excellence, observability, reliability, and self-service enablement to improve cloud scalability and reduce manual operational effort.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation solutions for GCP platform operations.
• Build self-service capabilities for application onboarding and infrastructure provisioning.
• Automate deployment, operational, and monitoring workflows.
• Implement and enhance observability, alerting, and operational dashboards.
• Improve platform reliability, resiliency, and operational readiness.
• Support GKE-based platforms and cloud-native services.
• Collaborate with platform, application, and security teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Strong Kubernetes/GKE administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Good understanding of cloud operations, incident management, and reliability practices.

Nice to Have

• SRE experience.
• Experience with Vertex AI or modern AI platforms.
• Cloud security and IAM knowledge.
• FinOps and cloud cost optimization exposure
