Global Payroll Specialist - consulting assignment

Our mission:

Global Payroll Specialist for an international company in Stockholm!

Avanzera is now seeking, on behalf of a client, an experienced Global Payroll Specialist for a consulting assignment starting as soon as possible. The assignment is for approximately 3 months (with the possibility of extension) and the role is based at the client's office in Central Stockholm, where you will become part of the team on-site.

This is a role for you who has experience in international payroll management and who is used to working in an environment where payroll is outsourced to external providers. The focus is primarily on coordinating, quality assuring, and developing payroll processes rather than independently managing the entire payroll run from start to finish.

Tasks:

As a Global Payroll Specialist, you will become an important part of the client's global payroll function and work closely with the Global Payroll Manager, HR, Finance, as well as external payroll providers.

Your tasks will include, among other things:

• Coordinating monthly payroll processes and ensuring that deadlines are met
• Serving as the contact person for external payroll providers
• Reviewing and validating payroll data and payroll reports
• Performing reconciliations and identifying any discrepancies
• Ensuring high data quality and correct documentation from HR systems
• Supporting Finance in connection with reporting and reconciliations
• Contributing to audits and ensuring that documentation and controls are in place
• Developing, documenting, and standardizing global payroll processes
• Identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation
• Supporting the Global Payroll Manager and acting as backup when necessary

Your background:

We are looking for you who have solid experience in payroll and who have previously worked with international or multi-country payroll. You are confident in coordinating multiple parties and have a good understanding of the entire payroll process, from HR data and payroll documentation to controls, reconciliations, and reporting.

We would prefer that you have:

• Experience in global or international payroll management
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers
• Good experience in payroll controls, validations, and reconciliations
• Proficiency in working with HRIS and payroll systems
• Good analytical ability and a structured way of working
• Very good knowledge of English

It is a merit if you have worked with, for example, HiBob, BDO, or Deel, as well as if you have previously been involved in building up or developing payroll processes in an international organization.
