Tea & Dessert Service Crew

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Welcome and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take dine-in and takeaway orders accurately.
• Introduce and recommend AVA's herbal teas, desserts and beverages.
• Explain menu items, ingredients and available options to customers.
• Promote suitable products and special promotions.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle general customer enquiries.

Cashier & Payment

• Operate the POS/cashier system.
• Collect and process payments by cash, cards, PayNow, NETS and other approved payment methods.
• Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Assist with daily cashier reconciliation and proper cash handling.

Herbal Tea & Dessert Preparation

• Assist in preparing and serving herbal teas, traditional desserts and beverages according to AVA's recipes and procedures.
• Prepare ingredients and toppings required for daily operations.
• Portion, pack and present food and beverages for dine-in and takeaway customers.
• Ensure ingredients are properly stored, labelled and handled.
• Replenish ingredients, cups, packaging and other supplies when required.
• Follow food safety and hygiene requirements at all times.

Outlet Operations

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the service counter, food preparation area, dining area and equipment.
• Clear and clean tables.
• Assist with daily opening and closing duties.
• Monitor stock levels and inform management when supplies need replenishment.
• Receive and organise deliveries.
• Assist with stocktaking and basic inventory control.
• Perform other reasonable outlet duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Friendly, responsible and service-oriented.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous experience in F&B, bubble tea, dessert shops, cafés or customer service is preferred but not essential.
• Cashier/POS experience is an advantage.
• Able and willing to learn herbal tea and dessert preparation.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
• Good personal hygiene and professional presentation.
• Relevant food safety training/certification to be completed where required.
