Technical Support Engineer – Charging Infrastructure (Hardware)
Auto Gallery’s Energy Department is looking for a Technical Support Engineer – Charging Infrastructure (Hardware) to support the installation, commissioning, and on-site technical operation of commercial EV charging and energy storage infrastructure. The main focus area is DC Fast Chargers & Site Microgrid Commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee physical installation, commissioning, and on-site hardware troubleshooting for DC fast chargers and commercial liquid-cooled battery cabinets.
Configure local power dispatch logic for peak shaving and ensure compliance with national grid active power export limits.
Isolate hardware faults and communication errors on-site using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other relevant diagnostic equipment.
Support the reliable operation of charging infrastructure and related site equipment.
Follow established electrical safety procedures and PPE requirements when working with charging and energy infrastructure.
Strong background in commercial EV charging hardware.
Good understanding of AC/DC conversion logic.
Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
Understanding of site grounding/earthing and grounding resistance protocols.
Practical experience using multimeters and oscilloscopes for troubleshooting.
Ability to diagnose and isolate hardware and communication issues.
Strict adherence to electrical hazard safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
