Technical Service Engineer – Battery Systems & EVs (DC Focus)

Auto Gallery’s Energy Department is looking for a Technical Service Engineer – Battery Systems & EVs (DC Focus) to support the diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of battery energy storage systems and electric vehicle battery systems.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on high-voltage DC systems, battery electronics, diagnostics, and thermal management.

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and component-level repair for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and electric vehicle battery packs.

Monitor battery degradation, cell balancing, and liquid-cooling thermal management systems.

Troubleshoot DC circuit faults and Battery Management System (BMS) errors using oscilloscopes and precision diagnostic tools.

Perform battery extraction and related service operations using heavy-duty automotive hoist lifts.

Identify and resolve battery system faults while following established technical and safety procedures.

Strictly follow high-voltage safety procedures and PPE requirements during all active maintenance and repair operations.

Strong practical knowledge of high-voltage DC systems.

Knowledge of battery electronics and Battery Management Systems (BMS).

Experience with battery diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Ability to use oscilloscopes and precision diagnostic equipment.

Understanding of battery thermal management and liquid-cooling systems.

Experience with high-voltage battery systems is highly desirable.

Ability to safely operate heavy-duty automotive hoist lifts.

Strong commitment to high-voltage electrical safety and PPE standards.
